In the past, Stations of the Cross projects have involved coordinated print exhibitions in faith communities across the United States throughout the Lenten season. The 2016 Stations of the Cross: Climate Change are instead inviting faith communities to be co-creators in this project. You can also support the project on Kickstarter.
Downloads, coloring books, and prints will be available soon. The original drawings on panel will be on exhibition in communities most affected by losses in biodiversity. The series begins with an illustration of the catastrophic consequences of the nitrogen run-off seeping through the tributaries of the Mississippi River causing the Dead Zone in the Gulf of Mexico. This piece will be completed by a Lutheran congregation in South Louisiana over the course of the Lenten season.
If you or your faith community is interested in completing one of the original pieces, hosting an exhibition or using the coloring books for small group discussion and art-making, you can contact Mary at firstname.lastname@example.org.
